materiales por valor superior a 1.000 d\u00f3lares deber\u00e1 notificar el accidente al DMV mediante el formulario \u00abInforme de accidente de tr\u00e1fico ocurrido en California\u00bb (SR 1).<\/p><p>T\u00fa (o tu representante autorizado) tienes que presentar el informe en un plazo de 10 d\u00edas desde el accidente, tanto si lo has causado t\u00fa como si no, e incluso si el accidente ocurri\u00f3 en una propiedad privada. El formulario SR 1 es obligatorio, adem\u00e1s de cualquier otro informe presentado a la polic\u00eda, a la CHP o a tu compa\u00f1\u00eda de seguros, si el accidente ha provocado da\u00f1os por valor de m\u00e1s de 1.000 d\u00f3lares y\/o lesiones o la muerte de alguien. Si no notificas el accidente al DMV, te suspender\u00e1n el permiso de conducir.  <\/p><p>El art\u00edculo 1806 del C\u00f3digo de Tr\u00e1fico de California (CVC) exige que el DMV registre la informaci\u00f3n sobre los accidentes, independientemente de qui\u00e9n tenga la culpa, cuando alguien denuncie un accidente en virtud de la Ley de Responsabilidad Financiera o cuando las fuerzas del orden o la CHP investiguen el caso y elaboren un informe.<\/p><p>Para los conductores de veh\u00edculos comerciales que se vean implicados en un accidente de tr\u00e1fico, la ley de California establece que debes notific\u00e1rselo a tu jefe en un plazo de 5 d\u00edas si tienes un accidente mientras conduces el veh\u00edculo de la empresa (CVC \u00a716002). Sin embargo, tu jefe puede exigirte que se lo notifiques de inmediato. <\/p><p>Nota: Un <a title=\"conductor profesional con carn\u00e9 CDL\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketcrusherslaw.com\/es\/traffic-ticket\/commercial-drivers\/\">conductor profesional con un permiso de conducir comercial (CDL)<\/a> puede cambiar a un permiso de conducir no comercial durante cualquier periodo de suspensi\u00f3n obligatoria para poder optar a un permiso restringido.
